Can I buy a painting directly on the website?
No. As every painting is unique, sales are made by personal arrangement. Contact us via the contact form, email or WhatsApp – you will receive an individual offer with shipping costs and delivery time within 48 hours.
Do you ship worldwide?
Yes, we ship to every country in the world. Every work is packed to museum standards and fully insured throughout transport. Delivery times range from 2 to 21 working days depending on the destination.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping costs depend on the size of the painting, the destination and the chosen shipping method. They are calculated individually and communicated before the contract is concluded. Transport insurance is included in the shipping price.
How are the paintings packed for transport?
Every work is professionally packed: acid-free protective film directly on the paint layer, corner protectors, bubble wrap and sturdy double-wall cardboard. For international shipments and particularly valuable works we use custom wooden frames or shipping crates.
Can I commission a painting?
Yes, commissions are possible. Please contact us with your wishes – size, subject, style, timeframe and budget. After a personal conversation we will prepare an individual offer.
Are the works originals or reproductions?
All works shown on this website are hand-painted, one-of-a-kind originals by Sergiu Catarau. Every painting comes with a certificate of authenticity personally signed by the artist.
Which payment methods do you accept?
We accept bank transfer (SEPA), PayPal by arrangement and, for international buyers, Wise, Revolut or a classic international transfer. Payment terms are agreed individually.
What happens if the painting arrives damaged?
Report the damage within 48 hours by email with photos of the packaging and the work. Thanks to the included transport insurance, the claim is settled promptly and you will be compensated or receive a replacement.
Are there customs fees?
Within the EU there are no additional fees. For deliveries outside the EU (e.g. USA, Switzerland, UK), customs duties and import taxes may apply and are borne by the buyer. We provide all necessary documents.
Can I meet the artist in person or visit his studio?
Studio visits in Frankfurt am Main are possible by prior appointment. Contact us by email or WhatsApp to arrange a date. Information on upcoming exhibitions can be found under “Events”.
How is VAT handled?
As a small business under § 19 UStG, we do not charge VAT. The stated price is the final price for buyers in Germany and the EU. Buyers outside the EU may have to pay import taxes of the destination country.
Do I receive a certificate of authenticity?
Yes, every work sold is delivered with a hand-signed certificate of authenticity. It includes the title, year, technique, dimensions and the artist’s own signature.
