"The Right to Life"

My painting, entitled **"The Right to Life"**, takes as its starting point the Constanța Casino, an iconic historical landmark that, after years of decay, has been restored to its former beauty. To me, this edifice symbolizes rebirth, resilience, and the power to triumph over time. Yet my story does not end at the walls of a building. It continues through the story of Ana, a young woman whom a photographer met in Germany. Struck by her beauty, he asked to photograph her. It was then that Ana confided she had not lost her hair by choice, but because of a devastating illness: cancer, which she was fighting through chemotherapy. Her story moved me deeply. It made me realize that true beauty does not vanish with the loss of hair, fading strength, or physical suffering. It endures in one's gaze, in courage, in dignity, and in the desire to keep moving forward. Just as the Constanța Casino was granted a second chance through restoration, Ana is fighting her own battle for life, carrying the hope of rebirth in her heart. Through this painting, I sought to unite two seemingly different stories bound by the same message: **nothing is lost as long as hope endures and the right to a second chance remains.**
